Devansh aka DAWgeek is a geeky Record Producer, DJ, composer, songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist from Mumbai, India. DAWgeek is a pseudonym that proposes that he's a geek of the DAWs (Digital Audio Workstation). His love for blending technology with music adds up to his controllerism skills on Electronic Instruments. Having experimented with most of the genres, his sound remains distinct showcasing versatility in his music-making techniques across many genres.      

 

     Mid-2014 saw the inception of his now flourishing career when he started uploading his work on YouTube, gaining popularity with his remix/covers of International Pop hits and Bollywood songs blended with Electronic & Bass Music. On the leap day of the leap year 2016, he independently released his debut original track Fly Away, followed by The Wait & Pickle Spot. The following year became a milestone year when DAWgeek got the opportunity to produce Tutari composed and sung by the legendary Shankar Mahadevan for the Ganpati Festival. DAWgeek’s musical drive carried on even in the pandemic year 2020, where he collaborated with bollywood's renowned actor Siddhant Chaturvedi (MC Sher in Gully Boy) for a lockdown song called Dhoop that brought a beam of hope for the listeners and rays of praises for the duo. Being a biker and an automobile enthusiast himself, his mid-tempo bass heavy track ‘Rotre’ inspired by his obsession with machines soon caught the ears of a multitude of audience.    

 

     DAWgeek has lent his sounds on countless projects to Bollywood Films (YRF’s Bunty Babli 2, Farhan Akhtar’s Toofaan, Veere Di Wedding, Flicker Singh, Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund), Brands & Ad Jingles (Coca Cola, Ultratech Cement, Gillette, Motorola, Citi Bank, Gini & Jony, Puma, TVS, AKG, Mahindra, Harman Kardon India, Monster Energy, KTM India), Web Series (Bandish Bandits, Rainbow Rishta – Amazon Prime Video) and in addition to brewing his multi-genre yet sonically fresh music, this man of many talents also performs live music in the form of solo DJ Sets as well as a part of various artist collectives for events and festivals.
